| About Double Pitch Roller Chain

Double pitch roller chains manufactured in accordance with ANSI specifications are almost identical to standard roller chain except that the pitch is doubled. 

The double pitch design allows the chain to have lighter weight and lower cost than the same size of standard roller chains under the condition of same length. 

Same as standard roller chains, double pitch roller chain has figure 8 shaped link plates and straight side plates for different applications.

The figure 8 shaped link plates are used for transmission while straight side plates are commonly applied in conveyors.

It is available with standard rollers, oversized rollers and engineered plastic rollers.

The chain on the right top is a double pitch chain with oversized rollers.

Oversized rollers have larger outer diameter than the height of the chain plate.

Goods can be conveyed on the oversized rollers to reduce friction.
